These Terms govern your relationship with Dr Salam Jibrel Medical Center when you access our website, make an enquiry, book an appointment, or receive any service from us. By booking or attending, you confirm you have read and agreed to these Terms.

1. Who We Are

Dr Salam Jibrel Medical Center is a privately licensed medical centre in Bahrain specialising in obstetrics, gynaecology, fertility, and women’s health, regulated by the NHRA under Law No. 21 of 2015.

2. Scope of Services

Obstetrics & Maternity: Antenatal consultations, pregnancy monitoring, ultrasound scans, high-risk pregnancy management, postnatal care.

Gynaecology: Consultations, investigations, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, menopause, endometriosis, PCOS management.

Fertility & Reproductive Medicine: Fertility assessments, IVF, ICSI, IUI, egg/sperm/embryo freezing and storage, fertility preservation.

Service availability is subject to clinical capabilities, staffing, and regulatory approvals.

3. Forming a Contract

A binding contract is formed at the earliest of: confirmed appointment booking, deposit/consultation fee payment, physical attendance and registration, or signing a Financial Consent Form. You confirm you are aged 18+ and that all information provided is accurate.

4. Appointments & Bookings

  • Bookings via telephone, email, in person, or online (subject to availability)
  • A deposit may be required (generally non-refundable unless Clinic cancels)
  • Arrive on time; 15+ minutes late may result in rescheduling without refund
  • Bring all relevant medical records, test results, referral letters, and ID

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation by You

  • Cancel/reschedule anytime; for deposit refund, notify at least 48 hours before appointment
  • Less than 48 hours or no-show: deposit forfeited
  • Treatment cycles (IVF, ICSI): specific terms in your Treatment Plan supersede general terms
  • Once a cycle has commenced, refunds only for services not yet rendered

Cancellation by the Clinic

  • May cancel in exceptional circumstances (staff unavailability, emergency, force majeure)
  • Deposits/pre-paid fees refunded in full or transferred to a rescheduled date

Refund Process

  • Approved refunds processed within 14 working days via original payment method
  • Storage fees for frozen biological material are non-refundable once the period has commenced

6. Fees & Payment

  • Fee schedule available on website and at reception; prices in BHD
  • Treatment plans include a costed breakdown; medication costs typically not included unless stated
  • Payment due in full at time of service unless a payment plan is agreed in writing
  • Unpaid balances may incur administrative charges

7. Insurance

  • Notify us at booking if claiming through insurance
  • Your responsibility to verify coverage before your appointment
  • If insurer declines: outstanding balance payable by you directly
  • Fertility treatments may not be covered by standard policies — check exclusions

8. No Guarantee of Outcome

No medical provider can guarantee a specific clinical outcome. Success rates reflect historical population outcomes, not individual predictions. We will provide all material information about benefits, risks, success rates, and alternatives for informed consent.

9. Patient Obligations

  • Provide complete, up-to-date medical history
  • Comply with pre-treatment and post-procedure instructions
  • Sign all required Consent Forms before investigation/treatment
  • Zero-tolerance for abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour
  • Maintain accurate emergency contact details
  • Pay all fees as set out in these Terms

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Nothing limits liability for negligence causing death/injury or fraud
  • Total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific services giving rise to the claim
  • Professional indemnity insurance held as required by NHRA
  • Not responsible for third-party providers (labs, pharmacies, referral hospitals)

12. Governing Law

Governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Exclusive jurisdiction of Bahrain courts.
